About the origin

Wazuka, Kyoto, is a principal growing region for Uji tea.
Of all the crude tea produced in Kyoto Prefecture, 44.8% comes from this town.

River mist through the valley, a wide swing between day and night temperatures, and steep, well-drained slopes.
Eight hundred years of tea-making rests on the conditions of this land.

We select organically grown Yabukita leaves, raised in the open air.
What distinguishes Yabukita is a firm body, a pleasant astringency, and a fresh aroma with real clarity. Take a sip and the umami fills the mouth while the astringency draws the finish together — a balance so well judged it reads as Japanese green tea itself, with real substance to it.

We offer two formats, to suit how and where you drink.

・ Loose leaf
For those who want to watch the leaves open slowly in a favourite teapot, and take their time over the full flavour.

・ Tea bags
For the office, a busy hour, or travel — for anyone who wants the real thing simply by pouring hot water.
